Summary
This team’s project investigates the differences in comfort and usability between ortholinear and staggered keyboards. Staggered keyboards, where keys are offset, have been in use since the 1878 Remington number two typewriter, while ortholinear keyboards align keys in a perfect grid. Though research shows that split ergonomic keyboards reduce pain and injury, the traditional staggered QWERTY layout remains dominant.
