Firefighting Air Vehicle Design, Analysis and Flight Test

Summary

This team, in collaboration with Boeing, is developing a modular Unmanned Aerial System Payload Release System to support firefighting operations. Designed to mount onto commercially available drones, this system enables precise deployment of fire-retardant materials over targeted areas. The project aims to create a modular, user-friendly and adaptable system that integrates with existing firefighting drone programs. Testing and validation, with input from industry partners and firefighting professionals, will ensure reliability in real-world conditions.
