15 Develop a Low-Pressure Cold Spray Nozzle for Small Diameter and Deep Bore Applications

Summary

Repairing internal surfaces of small components can be difficult with existing cold spray equipment due to size limitations of standard nozzles. This project addresses that challenge by working with Honeywell Aerospace to develop a compact, angled nozzle capable of reaching narrow bores. The design supports application of the cold spray process within confined geometries, reducing the need for outsourced repairs or part replacement. The goal is to improve repair capability, reduce costs and support more efficient in-house maintenance operations.
